Florida Gators WR Jacob Copeland headed to Maryland

Less than 24 hours since the Gators suffered from an embarrassing 29-17 loss to UCF in the Gasparilla bowl, former Gator receiver Jacob Copeland has announced via Twitter that he is headed to the big ten to join the Maryland Terrapins.

The 6-foot 202 pound junior led the Gators this past season with 41 catches for 642 yards and four touchdowns. Copeland entered his name into the transfer portal during the first week of December but chose to participate in the Gasparilla bowl game. He finished the game with just two catches for 35 yards.

Copeland, along with five other players such as quarterback Emory Jones and linebacker Mohamoud Diabate also currently have their name in the transfer portal.
