On his 34th birthday, Tim Tebow was back on the football field in black and teal Saturday.
Tebow seen 16 offensive snaps during the pre season opener against the Cleveland Browns this past Saturday, which was 24 percent of total reps on offense.
Out of a total of 21 Jag players who had the ball tossed their way, Tim Tebow and five others were targeted once with no receptions. Tebow may have had one potential catch but teammate Tavon Austin ran his route in front of Tebow and made the play.
It is still early to tell where exactly Tim Tebow sits on the depth chart, but hopefully we see some sort of movement here before the weeks come. The unofficial depth chart displayed Tebow as a three-way tie for the fourth string spot. Another sign that fans have pointed out was that Tebow did not see a single snap on special teams during game one. Out of six total tight-ends, Tebow was the only one not to receive a single down on special teams.
While we are approaching pre season week two, let’s hope to see Tim Tebow get a little more involved on offense as the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints’ on Monday night at 8:00pm.
