Zuniga, Greenard, Kadarius Toney expected to return for Georgia game
According to the SEC This Morning segment, head coach Dan Mullen said that he expects Jabari Zuniga, Jonathan Greenard and Kadarius Toney to make a return for the Georgia game on November 2.
Florida’s health seems to be the busy topic here over the past several weeks over the internet. The Gators’ have been battling injuries that have questioned the defense side of the ball. Jabari Zuniga has been battling an ongoing ankle issue over the past several weeks. His status was questionable for the South Carolina game, but Dan Mullen made a decision before the game to continue to rest Zuniga another week.
Jonothan Greenard has also been a huge factor on defense along with Zuniga. The absence of the two have been greatly missed, especially during the LSU game where Florida struggled throughout putting pressure on Joe Burrow. Greenard has been suffering from an ankle injury and was held to a game-time decision for the South Carolina game, which he did not dress for.
Kadarius Toney has been kept off the field after injuring his shoulder against UT Martin earlier in the year but is expected to make his return against Georgia.
With the Gators’ bye week coming up, this is perfect timing to get these guys healthy and ready to come back for the showdown in Jacksonville. With Toney back in the mix on offense and Zuniga and Greenard making a return on the defensive side, you’re about to see some damn good football between these two teams on November 2.
